Communications interoperability is the ability of service agencies to communicate within and across entities and jurisdictions via radio, data, video, and voice communication systems, exchanging information with one another on demand, in real time, when needed, when authorized.

The Communications Section manages, maintains and repairs Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Warning Systems located statewide and in the State Emergency Operations Center that support all functions and programs in Emergency Management.
