Idaho Public Safety Communications Commission

The purpose of the Idaho Public Safety Communications Commission (IPSCC) is to assist cities, counties, ambulance districts and fire districts in the establishment, management, operations and accountability of consolidated emergency communications systems and interoperable public safety communications and data systems.

IPSCC was established by Idaho Statute Title 31, Chapter 48, Sections 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21. Key within this charter is modernizing Idaho emergency services with Next Generation-911 (NG911).

IPSCC Mission

Enhance Idaho’s public health, safety, and welfare by assisting emergency communications and response professionals in the establishment, management, operations, standardization, planning and development of a coordinated statewide policy/program, to ensure enhanced 911 services, NG 911 services, and future/emerging public safety technologies are available to all citizens of the state and people in all areas of the state.

The Idaho Public Safety Communications Commission held hearings on May 8 and May 15, 2025 to receive comments on the temporary and proposed administrative rule changes.  The proposed changes impacted IDAPA 15.06.01, Rules Governing the Idaho Public Safety Communications Commission.  No comments or questions were received.  The meetings were adjourned at 12:20 on each day.
