Public Assistance (PA)

The Public Assistance Grant Program, administered in concert with FEMA, provides Federal grant assistance for debris removal, emergency protective measures, and the repair, replacement or restoration of disaster-damaged, publicly owned facilities when authorized by the President of the United States. Such authorization is provided, based on the State’s request through FEMA, when the magnitude of an incident or threatened incident exceeds the affected State, Territorial, Tribal and local government capabilities to respond and recover. IOEM is the coordinating agency for the State of Idaho, and serves as the pass-through entity for Federal funds to eligible Applicants.
