Emergency Planning

All state and local jurisdictions that receive Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) or Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) funding are required to maintain an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). EOPs must comply with the formats and information outlined in Comprehensive Planning Guide 101, version 2. The Idaho Emergency Operations Plan (IDEOP) is updated every two years by the Plans Section in coordination with state subject matter experts.

The IOEM Plans Section also reviews county and tribal EOPs to ensure compliancy with CPG 101 v.2 directives. County and tribal EOPs are maintained in both hard copy and electronic copy by the Plans Section. The Plans Section provides planning assistance and guidance to local jurisdictions as requested to support plan update activities.
